Design and Fitout Award Winners 2024
The ultimate commercial fitout industry showdown aka the highly anticipated Total Fitouts Commercial Design & Fitout Awards 2024 winners has been revealed!
As everyone eagerly awaited the announcements, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation for a grand celebration of outstanding achievements in commercial design and fit-out expertise among our respected Franchise Partners from Australia and New Zealand.
The finalists were selected in-house by Total Fitouts Managing Director Jeremy Dyer and the Support Office. The criteria for selection considered the overall impression and wow factor of the commercial fit out, plus the project had to be completed in 2024. There were 6 ‘Best Fitout Of 2024′ categories covering each fit out industry (Retail Fitouts, Medical Fitouts, Fitness Fitouts, Wellness & Beauty Fitouts, Office Fitouts, Hospitality Fitouts). This year, we had 3 Design Awards; “Best Commercial Design Under 100m2”, “Best Commercial Design Between 100-300m2” and “Best Commercial Design Over 300m2”.

The Grad Shop Winner – Best Retail Fitout.

Brett Jones and Total Fitouts Sydney South East have delivered an outstanding commercial retail fitout for The Grad Shop at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The store embodies UNSW’s vibrant identity, featuring the university’s signature yellow and black colour scheme throughout. Designed to provide students, alumni, and visitors with a seamless shopping experience, the space offers a diverse range of university-branded merchandise, including apparel, gifts, and graduation essentials. Playful cartoon-style wall prints and bold signage add an engaging touch, while sleek black change rooms with vertical slats and circular LED lighting enhance the modern aesthetic.
Every detail of the fitout reflects a commitment to bespoke design, ensuring both functionality and brand consistency. The well-organised layout promotes effortless navigation, making it easy for customers to explore the store’s offerings. Total Fitouts Sydney South East has successfully created a retail space that not only strengthens UNSW’s brand presence but also elevates the overall shopping experience. HOSPITALITY FITOUT WINNER | PEACEMAKER SALOON
Peacemaker Saloon Winner – Best Hospitality Fitout.

Marko Jelinic and Total Fitouts Canberra North have delivered an exceptional commercial hospitality fitout with the creation of The Peacemaker Saloon in Braddon, Canberra. This cowboy-inspired Western bar offers an authentic slice of Americana, seamlessly blending old-school Western charm with contemporary hospitality. The interior design features timber flooring, VJ paneling, and ornate wainscoting, all contributing to a warm and textured ambiance. The bar area stands out with its blue and white tiling, complemented by a frosted, stained-patterned mirror and bespoke signage that reflect the room’s rustic yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Total Fitouts Canberra North has demonstrated unwavering dedication to detail, with every aspect of the fitout reflecting custom design elements that enhance the patron experience. The predominant deep green-blue colour palette creates a cohesive and inviting environment, while the integration of rustic features with modern amenities ensures both functionality and aesthetic appeal. OFFICE FIT OUT WINNER | WOLLONGONG OFFICE
Wollongong Office Winner – Best Office Fitout.

Greg Doherty and Total Fitouts Illawarra have delivered a sophisticated and functional commercial office fitout for an accounting and financial advisory firm in Wollongong. The project encompasses 141 square meters, featuring two private offices, a boardroom, a meeting room, open-plan workstations, and a kitchenette/staffroom. The design employs a neutral palette of black, white, grey, and timber, creating a modern and professional atmosphere. Unique elements, such as a curved dowel feature wall and fluted glass partitions, enhance both aesthetics and privacy within the workspace.
