Paul Tranter – Total Fitouts Joondalup – Managing Director

It’s started to became a very familiar story with our team, and by no means do I mean that in a derogatory way. Everyones story is different and unique, but to ignore the common thread between them would be naïve at best.

Paul Tranter, the latest Western Australian Total Fitouts franchisee for Joondalup, shares a very familiar story as do a lot of our directors, but it comes with his own personal twist.

As with a lot of our team, Paul grew up as the son of a carpenter and joiner. According to him you would need a long ruler to trace the line of builders within his family. So as any good son of a builder does, he decided to join the family trade too.

In 1988, Paul finished his carpentry and joinery apprenticeship and came on board with the family’s business in Stoke on Trent, England. For over 17, he worked alongside his father Albert, completing both commercial and residential projects. For the majority of his time, Paul ran multiple large-scale construction sites simultaneously, whilst co-ordinating over 30 carpenters.

Upon his father’s retirement, Paul and his wife Paula along with their sons Craig and Jack decided it was time for a change, so they packed their bags and moved to Perth.

Arriving in Australia, Paul wasted no time in gaining his Australian builders registration and over the past 7 years he has built himself a successful building company. His company have constructed residential homes, apartments and commercial projects all over the state.

As much as he enjoyed running his own business, Paul understood first-hand how hard it is to build a business on his own. So when he was initially contacted by Total Fitouts to come on board as a Western Australian franchisee, he jumped at the chance.

Valuing the ability to join a network of other fitout professionals that are all aiming towards the success of the Total Fitouts brand, Paul could not think of a better way at utilising his own skill-set to help it grow in Northern Perth.

Having just signed up his first job, we are so thrilled at how quickly Paul and his team have got rolling. But the more exciting thing is that her has been able to bring the whole Tranter family along for the ride. His wife Paula has taken up the integral role of running his accounts, whilst his two sons Craig (Surveyor) and Jack (Electrician) are committing to the team as well.

On behalf of everyone at Total Fitouts, we are happy to welcome the entire Tranter family on-board, for their family venture.
